Alchemy For The A to Z Blogging Challenge

Alchemy: Any magical power or process of transmuting a common substance usually of little value into a substance of great value.

Alchemy was the forerunner to chemistry.  Alchemists during the Han Dynasty, while trying to find the secret to eternal life, came up with gun powder.  Not exactly a good way to achieve eternal life, but now we have fireworks!

In the Tarot deck we have an Alchemist.  The Magician.  The number of his card in the deck is 1. The number of creation.  When this card shows up in a reading you think of manifestation and new beginnings.

In the Rider Waite deck, the Magician stands in front of a table with all of the elements in the deck laid out before him.  The infinity symbol is above his head showing he has infinite knowledge.

In a reading the card may be asking can't you see that everything is there for you to succeed?  This person has a strong desire to achieve.  New beginnings, successful business transactions, a new partner in business or love.  If there are negative cards around the Magician it can show self doubt and that you need to be more like the Magician in thought and plan.

Whatever it is, now is the time to act.  Make sure you know what you want.  You can make a wish, but you must decide how you will make it happen.  Your life is what you make it.

You are the Alchemist.  You can turn you life into something spectacular.

  5. I don't know much about tarot, but your explanations are fascinating. And I love those last two lines. Good luck with the rest of the challenge!
